Fallout fans think they might have found the perfect (and silliest) location for Fallout 5, and I kinda think it’s genius.

There’s a bunch of different places you could set the next Fallout game, to the point that Bethesda really is spoiled for choice.

Well, some places were completely nuked off the face of the planet, but they still have like… 30% of the world to use?

It seems some fans are vibing with a very specific location for Fallout 5 though, after one user over on the r/Fallout subreddit has revealed that they’re planning on using the location for their Fallout fan project; Florida.

And before you make all the Florida Man jokes that you were planning to drop in the comments, I just wanna let you know that the comments over on the thread have already beaten you to it.

“Joke's on you, Florida is already a post-apocalyptic wasteland”, commented user Ace-O-Matic.

“Do you think the nuclear apocalypse will clear up those roving gangs of raiders and swamp monsters?” replied user JaladOnTheOcean.

So, how realistic is this choice? Is Florida even still standing in the Fallout lore?

I couldn’t find an exact answer to that question, but it would seem like there’s something over there… at least, according to one NPC in Fallout 76.

According to Herschel Klein at the Blue Ridge Caravan Company bar in Fallout 76, one of his regulars spotted the Brotherhood of Steel member Paladin Rahmani “doing a trapeze act down in Florida.”

Of course, Klein is also known to just make stuff up, so this might actually be more of an indication that Florida was completely obliterated when the bombs fell.

Either way, if Bethesda do end up picking this location for their next game… good luck trying to fill a map as huge as Florida with stuff to do.
