Battlestate Games are a developer that has been solely focused on Escape From Tarkov for the last decade. Who can blame them, with the massive success they have on their hands! But this latest update could see the devs diversifying their releases.
Escape From Tarkov development has continued apace in the intervening period, and it has really gone from strength to strength, with feedback almost universally positive on all the big steps taken in recent months.
As such, they could easily be forgiven for continuing to put all of their eggs in that basket, with the game presumably churning out money like it's going out of fashion, given the ridiculously big player base it has managed to accrue.
But this latest hint via social media could suggest that they might have something totally new on the way, and it's a real departure from anything we've seen from the team up to this point.

Escape From Tarkov Team Drops Cryptic Clues About Potential Next Game
As first reported by PCGamesN, Battlestate Games studio head Nikita Buyanov has been teasing something pretty big via his various social media accounts.
Many are now speculating that this could be their next game!

Buyanov shared an image from an account known as CORE Corp, which in turn led to a website known under the url core.gg.
Once you head over to that link, you'll be greeted with a still scene featuring some sci-fi tech, including weapons and armor, which provide a description when you hover over them.
The big feature in the room, though, is the terminal, which you can progress through by entering your email and confirming a one time password.
This will then provide you with a user id and several files to explore, which the computer describes as "clues".

These include the personal diary of a private investigator, as well as a ton of other documents and even a messenger app.
It's well worth exploring for yourself to see what you can glean, but it's one of the coolest ways to hint at a potential new game that I have seen in recent years and a great sign for the final product.
What exactly that will look like at this point is very opaque, but there's plenty of signs that we're getting classically aligned sci-fi this time around, with all of the aesthetics that you would expect from the genre.
Until then, we're just going to have to wait to hear more from the horse's mouth, so hopefully we don't have to wait too long for more.
