Marvel fans obsessed with MCU Iron Man's glorious unexpected return

Forget Doom - Tony Stark is back

I have spent an ungodly number of hours playing Fortnite, and I feel no shame.

With that in mind though, it’s a damn good job that Epic Games updates the game on a regular basis.

There’s never a dull moment to be had.

Whether it’s checking out the latest round of weekly quests, playing around with a new weapon, enjoying a limited time event, or simply trying to get that sweet Victory Royale, there’s always something to be getting on with.

If you are a Fortnite fan, then you’ll likely know that we’re currently enjoying another Marvel-themed season - this time, titled Absolute Doom.

Yes, now is the time to dive in if you want to experience the almighty Victor Von Doom’s power - especially with the Doom Island spawn rate having increased.

For the uninitiated, Doom Island occasionally replaces Loot Island, allowing the player who claims it to receive an OP Doom suit that should easily secure your victory crown.

Amidst all of this chaos though, a beloved Marvel hero is set to return to the island.

Fortnite has confirmed that a brand new Iron Man skin is on the way, and it looks to be inspired by the character’s Age of Ultron look.

ICYMI: Agatha All Along debuts next week on 18 September.

The official teaser for the skin was posted on Fortnite’s official Twitter account with a caption that read, “So shiny, So new.”

The skin is set to be released on 17 September, which is today, but downtime remains ongoing at the time of writing as this week’s update is implemented.

This is Fortnite though so naturally, fans have already datamined the files.

The bundle is set to cost 2,500 V-Bucks, or you can pick up the skin - titled Mark 45 - on its own for 1,500 V-Bucks.

There will be a pickaxe for 800 V-Bucks, as well as a weapon wrap for 500 V-Bucks.

The final item rounding out the collection is a themed instrument for Fortnite Festival for 1,000 V-Bucks.

I have to say, that skin is very, very tempting but then I find it hard to tear myself away from my Kate Bishop and Elizabeth Swann skins.

I wonder if this means we could see Ultron heading to the game very soon?
