Marvel Boss Confirms Most-Watched MCU Disney+ Series So Far

Loki, no pressure

I have to admit that Marvel's move from movies to TV has been much more entertaining than I was expecting it to be.

When it was announced that Disney Plus would be home to a number of TV projects that further expanded the MCU, I was a little nervous. I was unsure exactly how much further we could push this universe, and wondered whether the bottom of the barrel was started to be scraped.

I was an idiot. Shows like WandaVision, Moon Knight, Loki, and Hawkeye have taken the MCU in wildly interesting new directions. And more importantly, they've all managed to tell their own self-contained stories that still find ways to dive the wider evolving narrative forward. But which has been the most popular with audiences?

While Marvel and Disney aren't really in the habit of sharing specific viewing figures for Disney Plus shows, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige recently announced that Loki is the most-viewed of the MCU TV shows so far.

This is according to reporter Jason Lynch, who attended a recent presentation to advertisers as Disney works towards creating a new, cheaper tier of Disney Plus that includes ads.

Lynch added that Feige mentioned Loki's previously announced second season will begin production in just a few weeks, and that the whole cast is returning.

For those that might not remember, Loki's first season ended on a suitably chaotic note. Hiddleston's God Of Mischief inadvertently kicked off a brand-new multiverse, and found himself stranded in a new reality where his old T.V.A friends had no idea who he was. It'll certainly be interesting to see how much further into the multiverse Loki season two goes, especially after Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
