breaking news

I've got to be honest, this one hasn't surprised me.
Skydance New Media and Amy Hennig's upcoming action-adventure title Marvell 1943: Rise of Hydra has been delayed into 2026.
While the game hadn't set a firm 2025 release date, it had outlined 2025 as a vague launch window.

Fair to say though, we've not seen much of the game beyond its initial tease and a story trailer; that is to say that there's nothing in the way of gameplay, so I'm not shocked to learn that the game needs a tad more time to cook.
You can view that trailer below.
Announcing the news, devs explained that the delay would allow for time to add more polish to the title - a line often used when it comes to delays.

“We have an important update: Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will now be launching in early 2026,” a statement read.
“Taking this additional time will allow us to add more polish, and make sure we give you the best possible experience, and one that lives up to our vision.”
“We have some exciting things in stories and look forward to sharing more soon,” it ended.
Personally, I'm all for a polished, delayed game over a rushed and buggy one.

Marvel 1943: Rise of the Hydra is far from being the only game to have been pushed back into 2026; Fable and GTA VI are two additional examples.
If you’re not familiar with the title, it’ll star Steve Rogers / Captain America and Azzuri / Black Panther as they team up during World War II to put a stop to Hydra.
As I said, Amy Hennig is leading up the title and Hennig is best known for creating the Uncharted franchise, so I’m very excited that this game also slots into the action-adventure genre.
I imagine we’ll get whisked away on somewhat of a globetrotting adventure; Paris has already been confirmed as an in-game location and we’ll surely venture over to Wakanda.
