Lance Reddick, the popular Destiny and John Wick actor was playing video games the night before he passed away.

Last week, the Hollywood and video game community lost a beloved star in Lance Reddick. The actor was well respected for his talents, and despite being given somewhat suspect material, he was even a shining light in the cancelled Resident Evil Netflix series playing the villainous Albert Wesker.

The actor was perhaps best known for playing Charon aka the Hotel Manager in the John Wick movies as well as Cedric Daniels in The Wire. He was also a prominent voice actor in the world of video games which included Commander Zavala in the Destiny series, and Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West.

What’s more, Destiny players also paid their respects to the actor in-game and judging by social media comments that I’ve read, some players even reinstalled the game to honour the actor.

Stephanie Reddick, the wife of Lance, took to social media to let fans know that she appreciates their support during this troubling time. “To the thousands of Destiny players who played in a special tribute to Lance, thank you. Lance loved you as much as he loved the game,” she tweeted.

However, as reported by Dexerto, it has now been revealed that Lance Reddick was playing Destiny 2 a day before he passed away. The player in question shared details on Reddit and discovered that according to the Bungie website, Lance was exploring the EDZ in Destiny 2.

Furthermore, tragically, Reddick was one mission away from completing the Lightfall expansion and defeating the big bad Calus. Another player discovered that Reddick had totalled 2,800 hours of playtime across the original Destiny and its sequel with a Triumph score of 22,000.

In honour of her husband's name, Stephanie Reddick has asked for donations to be made to Momcares.org, a charity located in Lance’s hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.

Here at GAMINGbible, our thoughts go out to Reddick’s family and friends at this difficult time - may he rest in peace.
