Hollywood legend Keanu Reeves is down for playing the iconic Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

At 58 years young, the breathtaking Keanu Reeves is four years older than current Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman who will be reprising his role as the Adamantium clawed mutant in Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds.

As reported by RTE.ie, Keanu Reeves took part in a Reddit AMA and was asked by a fan if there was ever a role he regretted turning down. While Reeves said he did not regret ever turning down a role, he admitted that he “did always want to play Wolverine”.

It remains to be seen if at 58 years young, the opportunity to play Wolverine has long passed. What’s more, at 54, it’s likely that Hugh Jackman won't be playing the role for an eternity either. That being said, anything is seemingly possible with Disney’s de-ageing technology.

This is not the first time that Keanu Reeves has expressed a desire to play a popular character in the MCU. Back in October 2022, during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Reeves said he’d like to play Ghost Rider one day.

Hopefully, Keanu Reeves will have the opportunity to portray a character in the MCU. Because whatever role he is given, we have no doubts that he’ll knock it out of the park.

Until that time may or may not arrive, we have plenty of Keanu Reeves goodness to look forward to with John Wick: Chapter 4 arriving in cinemas on 24 March 2023. Despite being weeks away from release, critics are already labelling the new John Wick movie as one of the greatest action movies ever made.

Reeves is also set to reprise his role as Constantine in the long-awaited sequel. This is despite concerns that the movie might not happen due to Jame Gunn’s DC shakeup.
