Hogwarts Legacy free download adds a brand new dungeon for you to explore

Hogwarts Legacy fans can experience all-new content thanks to the latest update adding official mod support to the game.

While some of the new additions include the bizarre, like swapping your broomstick for a variety of weird objects and even some that turn your wand into a gun, the one we’re talking about today packs a bit more of a punch.

In case you missed it here’s the official announcement for Hogwarts Legacy’s mod support update

Titled The Flooded Laboratory, this mod adds a new dungeon for your character to explore, filled with dangers and objects of interest plus some goodies of course.

Created by MTL_LD, the mod’s description reads: “A slight tremor was felt along the coast, just east of Cragcroft. The Ministry of Magic has sent representatives to investigate, but no one has heard from them or found any news yet. For safety, the Headmaster is asking that no students, especially any high level ones, visit the area to investigate or make matters worse. Beware, as unconfirmed sightings of goblins have been reported in the area after dark…”

It’s exactly the kind of content we were hoping would come from the new update, as by 2025 it feels like most players have finished Hogwarts Legacy and seen everything there is to see, making new dungeons like this a real treat.

At the time of writing there’s apparently a small bug that might prevent you from loading into the new dungeon, so be aware of that if you decide to give it a go.

With Hogwarts Legacy 2 confirmed to be on the way, let’s hope some of the developers are taking notes on the kind of things we’d like to see in the next game.
