Hitman Fans Are Just Realising How Old Agent 47 Is

Fans on Reddit have been reacting to Agent 47's surprisingly senior age, and questioning whether or not it actually makes sense.

When playing through any of IO Interactive’s stealthy Hitman games, perhaps the last question on most players’ minds would be how old our dear protagonist Agent 47 is. The genetically engineered clone is the best assassin in the world (within the Hitman universe, that is), and that’s probably all you really need to know.

Take a look at Agent 47's most recent outing in the video below.

But how many years are contained within that furrowed brow? Reddit user Mr_OOF_Head took to the r/HiTMAN subreddit to find out just that: “So how old is Agent 47 exactly?” they asked. The answer has been right there all along, but it’s still proven to be pretty surprising to some fans.

“According to the wiki he [was] born on September 5 1964 meaning he is 57 years old,” replied Kodekingen. Also, yes, that means it’ll be his birthday in just two weeks’ time, making him nearer 58.

Some fans are questioning whether this makes sense, and you can’t really blame them. I mean, even from looks alone, the guy barely has a wrinkle on him, and that’s not to mention his abilities - he doesn’t exactly scream ‘guy who’s close to being eligible for a free bus pass’, does he? “Ah yes, a 57 year old man, capable of silently murdering an entire outpost filled with highly trained soldiers, just with [two] silenced silver guns,” questioned shadowMinecraftGamer.

Others think that the agent’s slightly more senior age makes perfect sense: “He definitely runs like a nearly 60-year-old man,” commented BlackDante. “Don't forget his trouble with ladders and low steps,” added Sunkinthesand.

Either way, his age doesn't line up with his agent number, and for that reason, I'm eternally disappointed.
