The comedic first-person shooter High on Life from Squanch Games is getting a wild new expansion, the developers have revealed.

Xbox-exclusive High on Life is from the mind of Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland, who was also the CEO of Squanch Games before leaving the company due to charges relating to domestic abuse. Due to the charges, Roiland will also no longer work on future episodes of Rick and Morty - which includes voicing the two leading characters. Hoping to replace him, fans quickly began auditioning for the now-open roles - although some Rick and Morty viewers would like to see the iconic Back to the Future duo Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox fill that void.

Starfield is this year's major Xbox-exclusive. Take a look at the recent launch date reveal below.

Despite the controversy surrounding the former CEO, that hasn't stopped Squanch Games from planning ahead by releasing additional content for High on Life. As spotted by GamesRadar, a tweet posted by the game's official Twitter page reads, “New High on Life content loading…coming soon.” Furthermore, a brief eight-second clip featured the words “High on Knife”.

Further details on the new expansion are practically non-existent right now, other than the words featured in the clip. However, given that the words are written in a blood-dripped font, it might be safe to assume that the new expansion will be a gory affair. What’s more, we can also hear in-game character/weapon Knifey going on a typically foul-mouthed rant.

In related High on Life news, fans were hoping that the wacky first-person shooter would soon be coming to PlayStation. Unfortunately, that isn't looking very likely, at least for the immediate future. High on Life is available now for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It is also available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost.
