It’s fair to say that GTA VI fans are barely keeping it together while they wait for the second trailer.

Having been left to their own devices while Rockstar Games plays the long game, they’ve researched far and wide to learn anything they can.

It’s led them to some bizarre theories, outlandish hopes, and, on occasion, some reasonable claims.

Sadly, it also means they have to deal with the harsh barb of reality sometimes.

This single GTA VI trailer is all we have to cling to right now.

When a former Rockstar Games developer was asked about “plentiful interiors to explore” in the new GTA following the game's confirmed inclusion of procedural generation, the response players got wasn’t quite what they had in mind.

Although it’s not a bad response, per se, it’s not exactly a positive one either.

Obbe Vermeij replied, “You would have thought it's possible.”

Off to a fairly decent start.

“The thing with procedurally generated interiors is that they often feel a bit samey. We dabbled before for SA and IV but ultimately gave up on the idea,” they added.

There it is, there’s reality crashing down.

The fan who asked the original question wasn’t perturbed by this, saying, “Thank you for responding. I think most people would rather having more interiors than the lack of it like GTA V.”

While it’s nice to see the toys still inside the pram, so to speak, we doubt every fan will feel quite as enthusiastic after learning of this potential issue.

GTA VI fans already think a new teaser is mocking them, so it’s not like emotions aren’t running high.

With increasing desperation, the fandom is now clinging to the idea that 3 December will be the next big date to mark on our calendars.

Lord knows that they need a win right about now. Even more so after learning that their beloved game could be “samey”.
