GTA VI might not cost as much as we once believed, as Take-Two Interactive has commented on the pricing concerns.
In case you missed it, new tariffs brought in by the U.S government have caused a wave of panic amongst gamers and filmgoers, as it’s contributed massively to an increase in pricing for video games, consoles, and films made outside the U.S.A.
One such game at risk is GTA VI, as despite it receiving a second trailer, no word has been shared on how much it’ll cost when it launches next year.
Fears that GTA VI could be the first to ever cost $100 (for a base version) have been somewhat quelled by Take-Two Interactive, which has implied the U.S tariffs aren’t a concern yet.

Speaking at the company’s earnings call yesterday, CEO Strauss Zelnick said, “Our guide is for the next 10 months, essentially, that's the part of the fiscal year that hasn't elapsed yet, and it's very difficult to predict where tariffs will land, given how things have bumped around so far.”
He went on to add, “We feel reasonably confident that our guide wouldn't be meaningfully affected, unless tariffs ran off in a very different direction than we currently expect … So we have, I think, enough insight that we wouldn't be affected by any changes."
This is good news but it doesn’t mean we’re out of the woods just yet; after all, it’s not just the tariffs that will play into the game’s overall pricing.
It'll ultimately be up to Take-Two and Rockstar Games to determine the worth of the game.

Given the amount of work that’s gone into the game since production began, and how it’s pretty clear that everyone will want to play it when it launches next year, the likelihood of its costing an above premium price is still dangerously high.
