Fans of Rockstar Games, those who love both GTA 6 and Red Dead Redemption 2, are lashing out at the developer after a price increase hits several countries.

It turns out that, for whatever reason, Rockstar Games and Take-Two have increased the price of Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 in the UK, and other regions.

It appears that the price bump equates to an over £5 rise for both games, with the Czech Republic, Chile and Brazil, also hit with an increase.

With this seemingly coming out of thin air, and the US and Euro-spending countries not hit, fans aren’t happy.

“Hopefully these price increases will allow Rockstar to make it through these tough times…” jokes Shliggie over on Reddit.

Following this, another Redditor comments, “I am sending thought and prayers to Rockstar Games.”

Many are hoping that price increase reflects a bump in quality from the already stellar games, with one fan saying, “For the love of god please be 60fps update!”

One very helpful Redditor points out that the games got a price bump in other countries, too, however, it happened last month.

WearingFin said, “no one else has noticed yet, and this was done in April.” They continue, “GTA V got a price rise in April as well, both the "combined" package and standalone GTA Online.”

One theory as to why the price has risen is to receive a bump in profits as fans eager to play GTA VI flock to the older games.

“Glad I bought the physical copy for CHEAP,” exclaims ReligiousToast.

Though it’s pointed out that this will be native PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the games, rather than a patch, so fans will need to buy the game again to experience the newest versions.

It seems most are split on whether this is a good thing, or just a way to pull more money from gamers.
