The second delay to GTA VI has pushed the game all the way back to November 2026 and it's had quite the effect on the community mood around the game, as fans begin to hyper-analyse anything and everything.
The reality of the situation is that the game is clearly very ambitious, and the delays come as a result of needing to finish it off to a point where it won't come as a colossal disappointment to the baying hordes.
That said, it hasn't stopped people assuming there's more to the situation, with theories presumably ranging from the game being about to be cancelled to aliens infiltrating Rockstar's offices.
GTA Fan Theory Claims PC Port Could Be Closer Than We Think

Over on Reddit, one fan shared their theory that the latest delay for Grand Theft Auto VI is down to the developer wanting to release the PC version of the game at the same time as the console version, with the former not being ready yet.

The obvious flaw with that theory is that it just wouldn't make financial sense for Rockstar to do it that way. As we saw with the last game, sequentially releasing the title on different platforms led to some major bumps in sales throughout its life cycle and many people purchased GTA V on more than one platform in the end. Though the release of the Steam Machine might tempt them, there isn't a reason to rush the PC port out of the door.
Many comments were quick to point that out in response, with one frustrated comment saying, "When will this sub understand. They will lose A LOT of money launching the game on PC and console the same day. As if it wasn't obvious by now, Rockstar always sells their game multiple times on different devices to make more profit."
"Don't get me wrong, I would love to buy PC version day one! But I know Rockstar wants me to buy at least two versions starting with console," another added.
"Nah they're gonna launch on consoles first then keep milking it for the next 10+ years with PC release, PS6, next Xbox, GTA Online updates and so on. Like Rockstar always does its business as usual. The game got delayed bc they want to iron out more bugs so the single player and multiplayer have a smooth release. Simple as that," a third claimed.

As nice as it would be to have the option to get the game on PC on day one, it just isn't happening sadly.
