GTA 6 fans, you can explore the game's map yourself right now

We can't wait to drive across this one

We all remember the first time that we got into our favourite car, put on Non-Stop-Pop and drove around the GTA V map without a destination in mind.

Let’s face it, driving around Rockstar’s open-world map was one of the highlights of Grand Theft Auto V and with Grand Theft Auto VI expected to be on a much bigger scale, we can only imagine the epic moments we are about to have when the game finally releases next year.

With just under a year to go until Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, we do not have long to wait until we can finally dive into the world of Leonida, Vice City, and surrounding areas and explore all that the open-world map has to offer.

However, if you cannot wait that long, worry not as one dedicated fan has created a way for us to explore the Grand Theft Auto VI map ahead of its launch.

Courtesy of kalterapfel123 on r/GTA6, fans can now explore an interactive map based on trailer scenes and leaks.

“A few weeks ago I shared an early version of my interactive GTA 6 map here on Reddit (based on trailer scenes and leaks). Originally it was hosted at gtaup.de,” they shared.

I've now moved it to a dedicated domain to make it more accessible for international users, improve performance, and give the project room to grow.

It's still a fan project but I've polished it a lot and plan to keep updating it as new info emerges.

If you have suggestions, feedback or ideas, feel free to comment. I’d love to hear what you'd like to see added next!

Thanks for all the support so far.”

The map can be found here and much like other interactive maps online, it will allow the user to scroll around the expansive map and hover over various points of interest.

The map includes everything from Vice City International Airport to Ambrosia, Watson Bay to Mount Kalaga National Park in the north.

Of course, this is not the official map from Rockstar but it gives us a pretty good idea of what we can expect when GTA VI finally launches next year.

The creator claims that this project has taken them “countless hours” but is “constantly learning new stuff, and it’s turning into a really cool little hobby”.

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 26 May 2026.
