A new live-action trailer for GTA 6 has been uploaded online, as it ultimately proves just how creative fans are getting in the wait until launch.
Yeah, we’re still ten months away from the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6, and some fans can’t bear the wait.
When the first trailer originally came out in December 2023, we didn’t have a lot to go off. It wasn’t until the second trailer and subsequent screenshots earlier this year that we got a more solid idea of what the final game would look like.
18 months on from Trailer 1, a team of fans has set out to recreate the video in full but with live-action actors.

As posted on YouTube and the GTA 6 Reddit page, creator JandoBlue re-created the entirety of Trailer 1 but with live-action actors, sets, and props.
JandoBlue’s friends are featured in the video playing the various characters that appear in GTA 6’s Trailer 1, as well as certain locations in Miami doubling for the same places in Vice City.

It seems like the video also uses drone footage for some shots of the city, as well as news clips to fill out some of the additional shots. Although some of these clips have not been shot by the director, they have given full credit to the rights holders in the video description.
“That's actually so sick,” reads one comment on Reddit.
“This is actually so cool. You got the composition of the shots so well. +10 for framing and editing,” another comment reads.
“Why did this give me chills!?” a third comment reads. “Wtf this was legit one of the coolest things I’ve seen since the actual trailer. Very well done!”

JandoBlue has already suggested plans to do Trailer 2 next, which might be a more ambitious project due to certain shots being rather difficult to pull off with a shoestring budget. Still, at least they’re occupying their time quite creatively while we all wait for GTA 6’s release.
