GTA 6 Gamers Yearn For The Return of Shrinking Horse Balls

Of course they do

I’m all for cool, immersive details within video games, but I don’t exactly notice when they’re not there.

I’ve recently seen silly folks online complaining about Ghost of Yōtei’s Atsu not looking wet enough when she rolls in water and it’s to those people I’d say, "Reevaluate your priorities.”

Subtle details are fun to spot, but the absence of a certain minute effect is hardly game-breaking.

Personally, I’m holding Rockstar Games to account, because they set the bar pretty high with the launch of 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2.

The example that’s always a fan-favourite is horse balls.

If you aren’t aware, within Red Dead Redemption 2, your horse’s balls will shrink in cold weather whilst enlarging and dropping in warmer weather.

Perhaps my use of the phrase “set the bar pretty high” was incorrect because I couldn’t give two hoots about whether I see another lore accurate horse testicle in my life.

This, however, is the level of detail many have come to expect from AAA releases.

In fact, many are hoping to see shrinking horse balls return in Rockstar Games’ next release Grand Theft Auto VI … not that I’m expecting it to be a very horse-heavy game.

I’m sure some of this demand is all in pursuit of memes and a bit, but I also fully feel people will be mad if they do find an in-game horse without lore accurate balls.

“Will shrinking horse balls from RDR2 return?” asked one Reddit user.

The responses are, uh, a tad NSFW so read at your own discretion.

“Bet they'll have a detail about how nipples get hard in cold weather,” replied dominator-23.

“Nice idea, I hope Jason’s balls will shrink in cold too,” added the OP.

In fact, there are tons of comments campaigning for Jason’s balls to be shrinkable.

“Better have or I'll refund the game,” joked MadHanini, or at least I hope they’re joking.

This response from xXKyloJayXx feels reasonable: “Yes, horses have been leaked to reappear in GTA VI, and since temperature responsive testicles are already a feature in RDR2, I can't see why it wouldn't make it into GTA VI.”

OddPlant6967 was one of the few users not on board, writing, “I wonder why Rockstar invests time and effort in these useless details? I mean there [are] useful details such as NPCs having their daily schedule but this? This is nonsense, the time and effort could have been spent somewhere else like adding [the] ability to control larger steamboats in RDR2.”

Well, while I personally won’t be inspecting temperature-driven testicle changes within GTA VI, I am looking forward to seeing what other immersive details Rockstar adds.
