Let’s face it, we’re all craving an update on Grand Theft Auto VI.

In just two months, it’ll be one year since the game’s reveal trailer dropped - so it’s somewhat surprising that Rockstar Games hasn’t really surfaced since.

Mid year, the game’s launch window was narrowed down from 2025 to fall 2025 - so it should land in September, October, or November - but we’ve certainly not received anything in the way of gameplay.

Heck, I think many of us would settle for a series of screenshots at this stage.

With GTA VI’s launch just one year away, Rockstar Games will surely ramp up the marketing soon.

It’s hardly as if GTA VI needs the publicity, seeing as it’s perhaps the most anticipated game the industry has ever seen, but I’m sure Rockstar will still make as much noise as possible.

With all of that in mind, we’re on the final stretch. In the meantime though, another leak has seemingly surfaced granting some insight on the game’s story.

You may as well watch GTA VI’s trailer once more.

Back in September, YouTuber LegacyKillaHD made a number of claims about GTA VI, teasing that Lucia and Jason would have different intro missions while the game would tell a more grounded story centring around family struggles.

They went on to add that the story would be shorter than Red Dead Redemption 2’s, but that there would be lots of side content including a vault heist.

To me, this sounds like a series of educated guesses based on what we already know from the trailer but hey, call me skeptical.

Social media account GTAVI_Countdown has now backed up LegacyKillaHD’s claims, announcing that they’d received a DMCA takedown notice from Rockstar for reporting on the leak.

“This leak has been pretty much confirmed, as we just received a DMCA takedown from Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two,” they posted.

“The reply was also taken down which only included a screenshot of the post with the info provided by insider LegacyKilla.”

As always, I do have to tell you to take this information with a generous pinch of salt until anything is confirmed by Rockstar - especially as many believe that the post may have been taken down due the inclusion of an image from GTA VI’s major 2022 leak.
