Take-Two Interactive has seemingly confirmed a major GTA VI leak by accident.
In an attempt to cover up a leak for the next entry in Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto series, its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, have only thrown fuel on the speculative fire.
When GTA VI graces us with its presence next year, it will no doubt be the talk of the video game industry for quite some time. In fact, GTA VI has been the talk of the industry already for years, long before Rockstar Games released its first trailer.
“Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them,” begins the synopsis of GTA VI.

“But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
Earlier this week, we reported on a story that appeared to reveal in-game websites and apps that will seemingly feature in GTA VI and are a parody of real-life websites and apps, including WhatsApp and OnlyFans.
However, in a classic case of the ‘Barbara Streisand effect’, after Take-Two Interactive attempted to hide those currently non-functional websites and apps, all it did was draw more attention to them and pretty much confirmed their existence by accident.
As brought to our attention by PC Gamer, following the recent attention drawn by the leaks, the domains of the fake GTA VI websites and apps have been suspiciously moved.

What’s silly about this situation is that if the domains remained as they were, GTA VI fans would have soon moved on to something else, but now, it’s kept the conversations going for longer.
What’s more, I wouldn't even say that these fake websites and apps are huge news. They’ve existed in the series in one form or another for years, so they’d come as no surprise to fans, plus, the leaks don't reveal all that much anyway.
Take-Two Interactive, you silly Billies.
At the time of writing, GTA VI is scheduled to be released on 26 May 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. That’s assuming it suffers no delay, of course.
