GTA 6 Gameplay Leak Confirms So Many New Distractions

Clear your schedule!

A GTA VI leak all but confirms that there’ll be plenty of distractions when it comes to the highly anticipated Rockstar Games release.

When GTA V was first released in 2013 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it came with the mobile companion app ‘iFruit’, which consisted of ‘Los Santos Customs’ and ‘Chop the Dog’.

The iFruit app was okay. It was mostly useful for having easy access to the Los Santos map without having to pause the game.

As for its other two main functions, ‘Los Santos Customs' allowed you to customise your cars away from the game and ‘Chop the Dog’ was a basic form of Nintendogs on the Nintendo DS.

I remember using the iFruit app when it first launched, but the novelty soon wore off, especially when it came to having to remember to clean up the dog poop of Franklin’s Rottweiler, Chop.

Well, it looks like there could be a chance that a companion app is on the way for the next entry in the ever-popular Grand Theft Auto series.

As brought to our attention by Reddit user ZamnBoii, leaker of information for all things related to Rockstar Games Tez2 has spotted that a ton of website domains have been registered for GTA VI.

Some of the websites are potential plays on WhatsApp, Uber, OnlyFans and more. The fact that these domains have been registered suggests that they may be functional websites, to an extent.

“‘Hookers Galore’ just gonna be a towing company or something,” said Riding_A_Rhino, referring to the domain that appears to be a play on the adult website, OnlyFans.

“A fishing app is another possibility,” replied ZamnBoii, with ohbuggerit adding, “Fishing seems like the obvious answer, but I'm hoping it’s something for crochet enthusiasts.”

“I can’t wait to visit these,” declared SuperTristan2017.

“I’m glad that it seems like Rockstar’s sense of humour still hasn’t evolved past 14-year-olds,” exclaimed ToothlessFTW.

Whether these websites are standalone or part of a new companion app for GTA VI remains to be seen. I guess only time will tell, and we’ll no doubt learn more in the coming months.

If the GTA VI app does become a thing, hopefully the novelty won't wear off so soon.

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to be released on 26 May 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Its PC port hasn't been announced yet.
