GTA 6 fans 'devastated' as game set to be unplayable at launch

And yet, this will only earn Rockstar Games more money in the long run

Those excited for Grand Theft Auto VI to drop on May 26th next year are going to be in for a bit of a disappointment on launch day, if they haven’t checked ahead of time that they’ll actually be able to play it on release.

Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two, has made something pretty clear over the last few years: they bloody love money.

That’s why it might surprise, and potentially infuriate, some of you to learn that their next big game, GTA VI, won’t actually be launching on PC. Well, at the very least, it’s ticked off a few people over on the r/GTA subreddit (based on the comments on one thread).

So, what’s the community’s solution? Buy a PlayStation 5, of course.

“If you put away 80 cent every day since the official announcement you’d have enough to buy a ps5 and play gta 6 on release”, commented user ControversyCaution2.

“when you think of it that way and think of how much joy it will bring you, it’s probably worth it.”

“I as a PC player in the same spot, I will definitely get ps5 or XSX no matter what, I already decided”, replied user adilet2k04.

Now, here’s the thing… if you actually do this, you’re a moron.

Look, I get it; you wanna play the game you’re super excited for on release day. To do that, you’re willing to drop at least a couple hundred on a used PS5, then buy a copy of GTA VI for probably around 70 to 80 quid on launch day.

Here’s the problem… you’re gonna end up buying that game two more times if you do that, and that’s exactly what Take-Two want you to do.

The release of GTA VI will probably coincide with the announcement of a next-gen PlayStation and Xbox, so that’s another version of the game you gotta buy.

Then, finally, they’ll release the PC version of the game. It’ll be the superior version, and you’ll feel like you’re missing out on the perfect GTA VI experience… and you’ll be playing right into Take-Two’s hands.
