Grand Theft Auto fans are hotly debating the possible map size of the next iteration in the franchise. Rockstar Games hasn't revealed anything officially, but due to the monumental leak in 2022, we have a rough idea of what the map will look like for GTA VI.

In a Reddit post that features imagery of the supposed GTA VI map, you can see it side-by-side with the GTA V map also. The images are based off what was discovered in the leak and, of course, some things may have changed since Rockstar Games responded to the data breach. However, this hasn't stopped the healthy speculation in the Reddit thread.

The trailer for GTA VI is coming up very soon.

The images of the new map are dividing some fans with two camps appearing - those who think it's too big and empty, and those who think it's just fine. The top comment on the thread is simply, "The city is a bit small," with a follow up reply saying, "It looks like [GTA] V with a ton of empty space. The city is small compared to the map. It needs multiple cities. Not just one big one."

It's hard to tell from an overhead map view what the city will be like. There could be a lot of verticality, for example. Of course, your preferences will often come down to how you play, but also how many hours you have free to put into the game. If you're shorter on time than others, then a smaller map will suit you more.

"Perfect size and definitely will be more dense and better designed like RDR2 was. And with more interiors," says one Redditor. This is followed up by others chiming in with a variety of thoughts from, "Bad map because of one thing. You need two cities," to the opposite, "I really like the broken up coastal islands and the more individualised city areas." Definitely a lot of division from fans. Only time will tell on this one.
