GTA fans are currently torn on what should happen to Trevor, after recent comments from actor Steven Ogg revealed what he thinks should happen to the character.
Steven Ogg blew audiences away with his portrayal of Trevor in GTA V. The character’s unpredictable attitude and hyper violent tendencies made him the perfect fit for GTA V’s third protagonist.
Since appearing in the game in 2013, the actor has gone on to portray characters with a similar range in shows like Better Call Saul and The Walking Dead.

With GTA VI on the horizon, the question remains of whether Ogg would return to the role for Rockstar’s next title in the flagship series. Fortunately, we have an answer for that.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Ogg had his own pitch for how Trevor should appear in GTA VI, saying: “I wish it would be fun if Trevor appeared in it just to be killed at the beginning.”
Ogg is clearly referencing Trevor’s introduction in GTA V, in which he killed off one of GTA IV’s central characters, Johnny Klebitz in a fit of rage.
If Trevor showed up at the beginning of GTA VI, only to be killed off by Jason or Lucia, it would certainly feel like a passing of the torch between games.

“Ogg hates the fact that he's remembered as only Trevor Phillips,” wrote a comment on Reddit. “I had a friend that met him. He really liked talking about his other roles.”
Being typecast in a role can prove to be frustrating for certain actors. It’s the kind of thing that frustrated Alec Guinness and Leonard Nimoy following their roles in Star Wars and Star Trek respectively, and Ogg has been accused of also feeling the same.
However, Ogg has denied that he hates Trevor. Addressing the rumours on the podcast Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum (thanks, GamesRadar), he said Trevor is “a great character, he's awesome, and like still, Shawn [Fonteno, Franklin's actor] and Ned [Luke, Michael's actor], we're friends, we were just doing a Comic Con this past weekend.”
Another Reddit comment wrote: “On the flip side, from Steven's perspective, he probably doesn't want to play the same character every time. He probably wants to flex his range as an actor. Which I can understand, no actor wants to be typecast as it tends to limit opportunities.”

From Ogg’s comments, it sounds like Trevor won’t be appearing in GTA VI. He will, however, be appearing in the upcoming Syfy series Revival, as well as the independent sci-fi film The Dresden Sun.
