Move over Grand Theft Auto VI, because a brand new official update from Rockstar Games for Grand Theft Auto V has added, fixed and otherwise improved a whole bunch of stuff people have been asking for since the game first dropped.
Well… if you’re an Enhanced Edition owner, that is.
As revealed on the official Rockstar Games site earlier this week, Grand Theft Auto V’s Title Update 1.71 just dropped, for both Legacy and Enhanced Edition owners.

Now the thing you've probably already heard of is the new GTA Online content, like the Money Laundering Operation missions and the Hands On Car Wash business. Regardless of which edition of GTA V you own, you’ll already have access to this new content.
However, if you’re on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X or PC, you’ll also be getting something very exciting in your update.
Current gen players of GTA V who received the “Enhanced Edition” upgrade can now access new “Enhanced Lighting Enhancements” which gives players the option to enable “high resolution ray traced reflections” and “a second ray bounce”.
What does that mean, exactly? Well your lighting effects just got even prettier, basically.

Don’t take my word for it though, as this is what the folks over on the r/nvidia subreddit have to say about the new update.
“The results are actually quite stunning,” commented user Inside-Specialist-55.
“This implementation of ray tracing is great.”
“The difference is massive and can be seen in every reflective surface except mirrors, those we can't do them”, replied user Storm_treize.

Neat. That being said, a few of the commenters on PC have noted that the new options do have a negative impact on your framerate, so you mileage may vary in this respect.
Jeez, we’re gonna need a PC manufactured by NASA to be able to run GTA VI, aren’t we?
