Part of the fun of any Grand Theft Auto title over the past few decades is getting to commit crimes and trying your hardest to escape the fleet of cops that will be sent to chase you down.

As technology advances, however, escaping from the local PD is harder than ever and with Grand Theft Auto VI expected to push the boundaries of law enforcement AI, we can only imagine how much more chaotic the chases will be.

Check out the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI below!

For those who are not in the know, committing crimes in Grand Theft Auto will see you rack up a ‘wanted level’ ranging from one star to five, with five featuring every member of the police alongside SWAT teams, helicopters, and the like.

As a result, trying to escape them is extremely difficult and in a discussion that took place over on r/GTA6, fans of the upcoming Rockstar title want the chases to be harder than ever.

Ironically, user SureTraffic3040 took to the Reddit last year to ask, “How rough do you want police chases to be in GTA VI?”

“I think pursuits in GTA could have some improvements,” they continued. “There are many videos out there of the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) that show how they run things. Would the experience be more enjoyable if they mirrored the FHP or do you think they should tone it down from FHP’s style?”

The post was accompanied by footage of the FHP in action and it is safe to say that they do what it takes to catch those criminals.

For one user, they just want one simple change.

“I just want cops to have actual cones of vision. I'm tired of being seen through walls,” they shared.

However, another user was all for the idea of a fictional FHP, saying: “Yes please! Also make SWAT more aggressive.”

StangRunner45 agreed, adding: “It better be more intense and realistic than ever before. I want screaming bodies ejecting out windshields left and right!”

It remains to be seen how our Vice City cops will react but it won’t be long until we find out with GTA VI expected to launch later this year.
