GTA 5 is getting a big new update this month ahead of GTA 6

Live out the Breaking Bad roleplay of your dreams

Are you already bored of the wait for Grand Theft Auto VI? Does 26 May 2026 just seem too long to wait for you?

Well, I can’t help you time travel, but I can offer you a little something else to alleviate the wait… a brand new update for Grand Theft Auto V.

Alright, it’s probably not quite what you wanted, but given the player numbers for this game are still through the roof, I’m sure it’s great news for tens of thousands of you out there.

As revealed on Rockstar Games' official website, a new update for GTA V Online is landing on June 17: GTA Online: Money Fronts.

So, what does the update add to the already massive Grand Theft Auto Online experience? Some Breaking Bad-esque roleplay opportunities.

“With the help of longstanding associate Martin Madrazo, you’ll connect with new advisors who will help you accumulate new business ventures and launder your dirty money while also infusing your accounts with legitimate income,” reads the press release on Rockstar Games’ site.

“The famed Hands On Car Wash in Strawberry is your entry point, and the perfect vintage facade to conceal your illegal activity. This low-profile and cash-intensive business is prosperous enough without alerting the authorities, and serves as the heart of your new money laundering operation.”

Yeah, c’mon, that’s gotta be a Breaking Bad reference, right?

Either way, I’m just curious if you can actually, y’know, work at the car wash. I don’t know if I’m just a weirdo, but something about washing cars in a video game sounds kinda fun.

Actually, maybe people would be into that. You get like a pressure washer and hose down a bunch of cars, maybe add some DLC of iconic vehicl– oh, wait, I’ve just invented PowerWash Simulator. Never mind, back to the drawing board.
