Someone thinks they’ve figured out exactly when Rockstar Games is planning to release the third trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, based on their previous release schedule for their previous games… and hey, it doesn’t sound too far-fetched to me.
Over on the r/GTA6 subreddit, one user has been doing their homework, and they think they’ve discovered exactly when the third trailer for GTA VI is gonna drop based on the time between the third trailers and the release dates for GTA IV, GTA V, Red Dead Redemption, and Red Dead Redemption II.
“Average amount of Days between Trailer 3 and Release: 129 days… This means that the next GTA 6 trailer will be around January 17th 2026”, writes user EinfachBlueG.

“Of course this is pure speculation and it will probably be a lot different, but the chances are high that we won't get a third trailer until around December to January when comparing it to the other titles.”
Interesting that there was such a consistent timeframe, but what do the commenters think about all this?
Well, they think it’s nonsense.
“They've already shown they're not following any previous patterns, these posts are meaningless”, commented user asianmandan.

“How they’ve gone about things has been pretty unpredictable so far so it’s hard to say, but I think trailer 3 could land any time between November and January next year”, replied user ScottRans0m.
“However you also need to factor in another possible delay, which could mean them not mentioning the game again until Feb or March next year to announce a second delay.”
Yeah, kinda hard to argue against the commenters on this one. Rockstar Games has mixed up their previous pattern a lot with the marketing campaign for GTA VI, so all bets are off this time around.
That being said, I think this could end up becoming accidentally true regardless. Letting people know that pre-orders are open with a new trailer, three or so months before the game drops, is a smart play. At the very least, it’s the best theory we’ve had so far.
