The long-rumoured Nintendo Direct finally streamed today, announcing a whole new wave of exciting titles. It was confirmed that award-winning adventure game It Takes Two is officially launching on Nintendo Switch very soon and we now know when The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom is due to be released. There was a huge announcement for retro fans as several classic N64 titles will soon be added to Nintendo Switch Online.

Spoiler alert. GoldenEye 007 is one of them. Check out the teaser trailer below.

In total, it was announced that nine N64 games will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online. Are you ready? There’s some good ones. Here we go. Pilotwings 64, Mario Party 1, 2, and 3, Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2, 1080 Snowboarding, and Excitebike 64 will all soon be released on the platform.

The most exciting news of all though is that GoldenEye 007 is also due to land on Nintendo Switch Online. The teaser trailer noted that GoldenEye 007 would include online play, so we can assume that means that we’ll get to experience the original game’s multiplayer mode which essentially included deathmatches for up to four players.

There are no set release dates at the moment, but we do know that Pilotwings 64, Mario Party, and Mario Party 2 will launch in the remaining months of this year. The other titles will launch in 2023. What a lot to look forward to.
