‘God of War Ragnarok’ Final Release Window Leaked, And It's Close

God of War Ragnarok finally appears to have set a release date, after fans feared further delays.

Every God of War fan requires two important qualities: patience and resilience. The former is because a release date for God of War Ragnarok is so unwilling to appear, and the latter is because everytime there’s a major gaming showcase, you have to muster the strength to pick your crushed soul up off the floor because yet again, God of War Ragnarok has not made an appearance. I’m fine. Really.

All of our suffering could finally be over though. Yesterday’s Summer Game Fest may have been disappointingly Kratos-less but a new report has suggested that God of War Ragnarok will finally be released in November.

Sony unveiled the first gameplay from God of War Ragnarok back in September 2021. Refresh your mind and take a look below.

Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier revealed God of War Raganarok’s release month after a number of sources confirmed it to him. He wrote, “The highly anticipated PlayStation game God of War Ragnarok is planned for release this November, according to three people familiar with the game’s development, despite reports this week that it had slipped to 2023.”

Schreier’s report went on to confirm that Sony and Santa Monica Studio are likely to relay the release date to fans later this month. It’s a somewhat strange move to hold back a major announcement like this given we’re in a prime week for such reveals but perhaps Sony has another State of Play up its sleeve in the near future.

God of War Ragnarok was initially due to release back in 2021 before it was put back a year. Just last week, Thor actor Ryan Hurst teased that he’d finished work on the game but given the title's absence from Summer Game Fest, plenty of fans still feared the game would be hit by further delays. Alas, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Just a few short months, and we’ll finally be able to release our pent-up rage as we recklessly swing around the Blades of Chaos. Sweet.
