Today, the three week countdown officially begins. God Of War Ragnarök is on the way, my friends. In three short weeks, we can pick-up the Leviathan Axe and Blades Of Chaos once more as we slash and swing our way through the Nine Realms.

It seems pretty evident from the trailers but God Of War Ragnarök’s age rating certainly teases a darker tone, plus we know that the sequel from Santa Monica Studio is clocking in at a few hours longer than its predecessor. Insiders have teased that whilst the main story is around the same length, there’s much more in the way of side quests. Now, the game’s PlayStation 4 download size has been revealed and it’s a whopper.

Check out the latest trailer for God Of War Ragnarök below.

As revealed by Twitter user Ifnoelb, God Of War Ragnarök’s PS4 download size is just over 118GB which is an absolute beast of a download. To compare, God of War’s file size is around 36GB so that means the sequel has grown by 82GB.

As mentioned, we know that God Of War Ragnarök is a lengthier game than its predecessor so that partly explains its increased file size. We should also expect God Of War Ragnarök to push the PS4 to its technical limits.

God Of War Ragnarök’s devs recently revealed that they almost split the game in two, making the Norse Saga a trilogy. Eventually, they decided to include the entirety of the remainder of the story in Ragnarök, but it meant that the game ended up being much larger than originally envisioned. With the countdown on, we all best start clearing some room on our consoles.
