Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart was heavily showcased in the lead-up to the release of the PlayStation 5. Although it's a cartoony, family-friendly title with some loveable protagonists and ridiculous villains, its job has been a very serious one: to show off the PlayStation 5's SSD. And it turns out there is no better way to show off impressive loading times and beautiful graphics, than new incredible footage.

If you've missed some of the original trailers for the game, they're really splendid. While PlayStation certainly has more gritty games in the works like the upcoming Returnal, sometimes you're not in the mood for the scary stuff, and you just want luscious, fun environments to explore with goofy guns. Here's the newest trailer showing just how delightful Rift Apart looks, including one moment fans are raving about.

As we're coming up to the eventual release of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart we're getting more and more morsels of content to feast our eyes on, and one moment in that new trailer, which has been reposted on ResetEra, has been stunning fans. Look at how Rivet (the female equivalent Lombax to Ratchet) hits a rift and instantly is in an entirely new fleshed-out city. It's incredible.

The entire shtick of Rift Apart will be these rifts. Holes in space and time that will be essential for your protagonists to jump from place to place, and fighting enemies along the way. We're incredibly hyped for the game as Insomniac hasn't missed the mark with recent projects like Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Oh, also if you're not up to date with the world of Ratchet and Clank, the latest addition to the series was a remake of the original game, so you don't have to be worried about being lost at all. You can download Ratchet and Clank on PS Plus if you have it.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will be released on PlayStation 5 on June 11, 2021 - and honestly, I can't wait. Thanks, PushSquare!
