Just when you thought Insomniac Games couldn't get any busier what with juggling Ratchet & Clank and Marvel's Spider-Man, they've only gone and announced yet another superhero adaptation.

A trailer that I was 99% certain was set to be a reveal for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 ended up being... Wolverine. That's right, it seems Insomniac Games wasn't happy with just one iconic Marvel hero. The studio is shifting its sights from Spidey to the beloved X-Man.

Take a look at the trailer below!

The reveal trailer picks up with Logan enjoying a drink at a bar in the wake of a mass brawl. Whether or not our hero was the one who started the fight is unclear, but I'd be willing to bet he finished it easily enough.

Aside from a brief pop of the claws at the end and the reveal of a logo, we know very little about Wolverine. We're assuming it'll be a single-player adventure that takes place in the same universe as Marvel's Spider-Man, because... well, why would you get Insomniac to make another Marvel game and not have it be in the same world, right?

As soon as know more in regards to a release date, we'll let you know - but it looks like this one will be a long way off yet. The good news is that Sony shocked us all by announcingMarvel's Spider-Man 2 mere seconds after dropping the Wolverine trailer! The sequel to the 2018 game will, as we all suspected, see Peter Parker and Miles Morales team up to fight Venom. Will Wolverine make an appearance ahead of his solo game? I wouldn't bet against it, friends.

It's a great time to be a Marvel fan. And, I imagine, an exhausting but exciting time to work at Insomniac.
