Far Cry 4 gets hardcore survival mode you can download now

I don’t know about you but when I died to my second random eagle attack in Far Cry 4 back in 2014, I was about ready to throw in the towel.

The otherwise simple combat of the FPS title would soon be made a whole lot more difficult thanks to its murderous animal population. However, thanks to one creator, every aspect of Far Cry 4 is about to get a whole lot harder.

Created by Rickvs64 on Nexus Mods, FC4 Hardcore Survival mod aims to make Kyrat a whole lot more dangerous and it is free to download for those who own Far Cry 4 on PC.

If you're like me, you enjoy the open world action of the Far Cry franchise. It's hard not to,” the creator shared.

“But where most people prefer the late-game overpowered-ness where guns go blazing every second, some people like me prefer the early-game experience when you know you're at the bottom of the food chain and don't stand the slightest chance against large groups of enemies.

I know that the latter group of people is in the vast minority there, but if you're like me then this mod might just be for you.”

The mod includes some interesting new changes such as; Ajay now struggles to reload certain guns which isn’t surprising considering he had never handled one before. Additionally, ammo prices have multiplied by 4000%, dropped weapons offer less ammo, NPCs almost never have spare ammo on them and more.

Overall, combat is set to be a lot more difficult and resources a lot more scarce. As a result, you will have to spend less time shooting those eagles and a lot more time taking out your enemies… if you can afford to that is.
