Fallout fans have a great pitch for a Fallout: New Vegas remaster. It probably won’t happen, but we can dream can’t we?

Following the release of The Elder Scrolls VI, Bethesda is going to have a lot of time on its hands for other projects and there’s seemingly only one that fans care about, more Fallout: New Vegas.

There’s arguably no better time to invest in the game either since the second season of the Fallout TV series will feature New Vegas as a destination.

Who are we kidding, Fallout 5 will be the next game on Bethesda’s mind when The Elder Scrolls VI releases but the pitch for a Fallout: New Vegas remaster is too good to ignore.

“We all can agree that New Vegas is one of, if not the, best RPG of all time,” began a post by Python7578. “The story is absolutely fantastic … Now, Fallout 4 gets a lot of hate but something we all can agree on is that it has the best gunplay in the series.”

The post continued, “Please Bethesda, remaster New Vegas, don’t do ANYTHING to the game except giving us Fallout 4 combat and graphics, It’d literally be the perfect game.”

We know it’s not going to happen but by God it should, as like the post says, Fallout: New Vegas is still a phenomenal game, all it needs are a few modernisations to have it fit on current-gen hardware.

A sequel would also be good, and developers who worked on Fallout: New Vegas have expressed interest in the past in re-exploring that part of the Fallout world, so why not let them?

Again, with the second season of the Fallout series heading to New Vegas, it makes more sense than ever to return to the iconic location in-game as well, but we’ll see what Bethesda and Xbox Game Studios decides…
