When crafting immersive open worlds to explore and embark on epic adventures, few do it quite as well as Bethesda, especially when it comes to its post-apocalyptic Fallout series.

If you asked a Fallout fan which game in the series they love the most, it’s likely that each will provide a different answer. That being said, it’s also likely that most may mention the likes of Fallout 3 and its spin-off, Fallout: New Vegas, the latter of which is developed by Obsidian Entertainment. For years fans have longed for a Fallout: New Vegas sequel and while that won't be happening anytime soon with Bethesda focusing on The Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5, a remake for Fallout: New Vegas was recently teased, we kid you not.

Who will the cast of the Fallout TV Snog, Marry or Irradiate below?

Fallout: New Vegas was released in 2010 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and quickly became one of the most highly-rated games in Bethesda’s RPG series earning a score of 84 from reviewers and 8.8 from fans on the aggregate website, Metacritic. It is quite amazing when you consider that Fallout: New Vegas was originally intended to be DLC for Fallout 3 before it evolved into a standalone game, which also benefited from its own wealth of DLC.

Even to this day after 14 years, fans are still exploring the post-apocalyptic wastelands of Fallout: New Vegas in no small part to its fantastic and ever-vibrant modding community. Whether it’s improved visuals, new content or bug fixes, talented modders have you covered and one mod that is worth your attention is ‘Enhanced Movement’ available now via Nexusmods.

As the name of the mod suggests, ‘Enhanced Movement’ is all about improving the core gameplay of Fallout: New Vegas. Created by modder Woooombat, ‘Enhanced Movement’ is the: “All in one movement expansion - featuring movement bug fixes, 1st person diagonal movement, enhanced sprint, enhanced sneak, enhanced leaning, animated prone framework, new animations, and more.” The mod even allows you to fire a weapon from a prone position.

It’s worth keeping in mind that the ‘Enhanced Movement’ mod is very new as it only launched this April, so some early bugs should be expected but hopefully, they will be ironed out in the coming months. Furthermore, as with the nature of most mods, ‘Enhanced Movement’ is only available for the PC version of Fallout: New Vegas.

Fallout: New Vegas is backwards compatible with Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, and it’s also available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost.
