How do you even explain this?

A Fallout 4 player experienced a bizarre NPC interaction that they couldn’t explain, it’s hilarious too.

Bethesda games are of course known for their bugs and glitches, the funny ones at least not the game breaking ones.

Fallout 76’s launch was a great example of when bugs/glitches become unacceptable…

Fallout 4 is no exception to this rule, and one player stumbled upon one that plenty of fans a good giggle, from how astoundingly absurd it is.

Reddit user IHateMarcyLong15562 shared a clip of their Fallout 4 playthrough doing a side quest with Mama Murphy, who you meet very early into your playthrough if you follow the right path.

Mama Murphy has some serious addictions and you can choose to give her a variety of drugs, the final of which being psycho which kills her.

In the player’s clip he gives her that final dose of psycho but instead of simply passing away she explodes instead…for some reason…

“In all of my hours, I have never seen this happen” they said. “Even had to do it twice to make sure I wasn't tweakin.”

It’s very comedic, but it left a lot of fans scratching their heads as to why it happened and what could have caused it.

The first suggestion was “Do you have the bloody mess perk? it shouldn't cause that, but it could, somehow…” but the player apparently didn’t have that perk enabled.

Others suggested a mod had been used but the player said they did have mods installed but none that should have caused that effect. “You'd be surprised dude. There's always something affected that isn't disclosed lmao” one fan said in response.

Honestly it’s funnier to leave this without an explanation, just add it to the canon as a very rare side effect of taking psycho, hell put it in Fallout S2…
