As with many Bethesda titles, the attention to detail in its open-world RPGs can be hit or miss.

A hit when it comes to titles such as The Elder Scrolls VI: Skyrim and Fallout 4 but a miss when it comes to the more recent Starfield.

Nonetheless, it is Fallout 4 we are going to be talking about today as, thanks to some dedicated fans over on r/fo76, there is a way to explore out-of-bound areas that would have otherwise been lost to time.

As for Fallout 4, it is set to celebrate its ten-year anniversary this November and as a result, and perhaps thanks to the popularity of the Prime Video Fallout television adaptation, many are returning to the Commonwealth.

With many fans returning, it would make sense that they would like to discover even more to do in the Bethesda title and luckily, this Reddit trick may just help them out.

According to user r/frito2022, there is a way to reach out-of-bounds areas throughout Fallout 4 and many of them are still yet to be patched to this day.

This is achieved by standing on a Power Armour suit whilst in third-person, giving you the extra boost needed to peer into out-of-bounds areas which may or may not have been areas featuring cut content.

Not only that but a fellow Reddit user also took the time to share some of the places that they had discovered whilst using this glitch and one other.

“As far as I know, the only wall glitch methods are using the mine throw to clip through walls (I've never been able to do it) and clipping through a roof by standing on a PA in third person,” they explained.

“I've used that method during A Colossal Problem and to get into The Rusty Pick, Vault 63 and above Vault 51’s interior.

A number of previously existing inaccessible interiors have been deleted: parts of Vault 94, most of Vault 63, parts of Whitespring’s interior. Probably many others as well.”

As mentioned, many of these glitch methods were patched soon after discovery but some are still accessible to this day so it is definitely worth climbing aboard your Power Armour and seeing what you can reach.

Who knows? Maybe these discoveries will give us some insight into possible cut content that could be featured in Fallout 5. If it is ever released.
