More Fallout 4 can never be a bad thing, especially when it comes from the fans themselves. The base game gave hours aplenty with a huge world filled with quests, but since we aren’t getting any more official Fallout anytime soon, we point our eyes toward the modding community who are doing a great job.

Fallout 4: Last Stand of the Commonwealth is a monumental mod that will give players a new string of quests along with fully voice-acted cut scenes, and you can watch the trailer right now.

It's not long until the Fallout TV show premieres on Amazon Prime

Fallout 4 fans are loving the trailer and are, understandably, excited to get stuck in. The DLC-sized mod is the latest part in a long-running series - Sim Settlements - that continues to tell a long-form story. Fans on Reddit have been discussing the mod since it was released several months ago and they have us interested, “I love that this entire conflict between the player and their allies against the Gunners started over what is essentially dialing a wrong number and an awkward phone call.” That’s just the kind of bonkers that should fuel any game.

The mod vastly improves settlement building, something that Bethesda introduced and expanded in Starfield. Personally, I really miss the Fallout series and might have to dip back in with this series of mods, it would certainly give me a reason to set the world on fire.

It’s great to see new content coming for Fallout 4, it feels like it has been an age since the game first dropped. Trekking through the wasteland always feels good and it’s going to be a few years until we can do it again in Fallout 5. In the meantime, if mods don’t do it for you, the Amazon adaptation of the franchise launches very soon and should keep you ticking over.
