I have to admit, I always kind of wondered what happened to Santa in the world of Fallout.

We all know Santa Claus is real - that's not up for debate - so it stands to reason that the Fallout universe had a version of Papa Noel flying around dropping Pip Boys and stockings full of Nuka Cola. But did he survive nuclear armageddon?

That's a question a very special Fallout 4 Christmas quest created by the fans that attempts to answer that question, and it looks kind of brilliant. Better yet, it's free.

In The New Adventures Of The Silver Shroud Holiday Special, players can team-up with a Super Mutant Santa Claus and fight and evil corporation to save Christmas. Who needs Fallout 5 at this rate?

"Ho ho ho and Merry Christmas," reads the mod's description. "Or at least it would be if not for the misfortunes that have fallen upon Dexco, a post-war comic book company dedicated to bringing to life the legends of the wastelands favorite vigilante, THE SILVER SHROUD!

"Now it is up to The Silver Shroud and the company's loveable (if odd) friendly Super Mutant Toby to save Christmas! But they'd better be careful for a new group of evildoers has made waves in the Commonwealth. Can our heroes hope to overcome these naughty boys and girls and ring in the holidays at the same time? Find out in this holiday edition of...THE NEW ADVENTURES OF THE SILVER SHROUD!"

Clearly this is just a silly fan-made quest, but if you're currently playing through Fallout 4 again and fancy something festive, this is well worth a look.

One thing to note: this mod does require you either have the GOTY edition of Fallout 4 or all the DLC installed separately, though I'm pretty sure you can grab all of that for dirt cheap right now in the Steam sale.
