A new Fallout 4 tribute has taken potshots at Bethesda, and it sounds like fans may be growing tired of the wait for Fallout 5.
Monday, 10 November marks the tenth anniversary of Fallout 4, the last major single-player game in the series. And it looks like the wait for the next game continues to grow even larger, with no sign of Fallout 5 coming soon.
Still, one fan has made a rather impressive tribute to the game, thanking Bethesda for 10 years of the game.
Posting the tribute to the Fallout Reddit page, user schmungis shared an in-game clip of a Rube Goldberg-esque contraption built using Fallout 4’s settlement builder to celebrate the game’s tenth anniversary.

The contraption begins when the player hits a button, releasing a ball that travels along a long obstacle course, activating various triggers as it goes along.
These triggers activate certain lights in parts of the settlement, with signs reading things like “10 years of terrifying enemies” and “10 years of adventure”. It’s quite cute, really.
The tribute lands blows against Bethesda
The tribute also includes landing some blows against Bethesda, such as one sign reading “10 years of collecting junk”, hinting at the amount of useless loot and junk that Fallout players tend to accrue across their playthroughs.
The other happens at the very end, where the contraption ends with a sign that reads “10 years of waiting for Fallout 5” with a skeleton sat underneath in an armchair. A not so subtle jab at Bethesda for taking so long to release Fallout 5.
“Happy 10th anniversary for the Fallout 4 fans,” reads OP’s post on Reddit. “This has been my most played game of the last 10 years by far, and I'm always finding myself drawn back in for another playthrough.
"So this is something I worked on in the settlement builder (my favourite part of the game) to commemorate 10 years of Fallout 4.”

With the apparent success of the Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime Video, fans are begging Bethesda to release a new game. Fallout 5 hasn’t had a proper announcement yet, though there are hints that the developer will eventually return to the world for a new game.
As for what comes next, Fallout 4 is receiving a new anniversary edition later today. This version of the game features improved graphics, new content and quests, as well as an in-game modding workshop to help enhance your playthroughs. It'll be coming to all platforms; PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, as well as a Nintendo Switch 2 version coming in 2026.
