As fantasy games go, Fable has always found itself flirting with the mature audience, dropping innuendo like it was going out of fashion, but never really reaching the raunchy heights of The Witcher.
With Fable 4 in development, comparisons have already been drawn between the bright fantasy realm and that of Geralt's journeys through Touissant.
Vibrant, picturesque landscapes and bustling towns full of life were shown in all their glory in early release trailers, alongside classic chicken-kicking action.
But it seems like there are more than a few imagery filters that make Fable more like The Witcher, as content ratings coming out of South Korea and Australia claim that the fourth mainline game will be less cheeky, more cheek.
Set to be a massive open-world magical RPG that will compete with The Witcher 4, Elder Scrolls 6, and Lord of the Rings, Fable 4 has been confirmed to have over 1,000 NPCs on a huge map.

The developers have revealed that all of these people need beds, which makes the towns densely populated with Prairie-like cottages, and it seems like you'll be able to explore them. The beds, that is.
Before its official ESRB rating, content boards in South Korea have given the game an 18+ rating, citing the "use of language that directly expresses sexual acts" and the "excessive use of vulgar language and profanity" as two of the main reasons.

The adult rating also comes due to "frequent killing, bloodshed, and bodily mutilation using weapons determination," and "direct criminal acts based on user choices."
One element that will be changing, though, is the morality system, which earns you a reputation across the fantasy world. Playground Games and Xbox have chosen a new system that rewards or punishes criminal or deceitful activity, which might keep your lawlessness on a leash.
Fable has always had characters that are a bit tongue-in-cheek with plenty of charged innuendo, but the fourth game really seems to get freaky.
It's no surprise that Fable 4 is going big or going home, with it being 15 years since the last mainline instalment, leaving fans on the edge of their toadstools in anticipation.
Already, the massive leaked map points us in the right direction for Fable's success,
