Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered has a secret door that takes you straight to end of game

Do you really fancy playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, but you’re strapped for time? Maybe you can’t decide between playing it or Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 first?

Well, don’t worry, you have enough time to play both! The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered only takes 12 minutes to beat after all.

As PC Gamer's Ted Litchfield explains, it’s possible to beat the game in under 13 minutes… because 99% of the bugs and exploits that were present in Bethesda’s original release of Oblivion are still present in the remaster.

See for yourself if you don’t believe me. Former world record holder Bacon_ is back at it again, and they’re up to their old tricks in Oblivion Remastered.

The exploit itself takes place around the 9:35 mark. You see Bacon_ punch some stuff, pass out, and then suddenly they teleport to the end of the game.

So, how does it work exactly? I’ll let Bacon_ explain this one themselves, because they’ll do a much better job than me.

“I am using an Orc because of the Berserk greater power that has Fortify Fatigue,” Bacon_ explains.

“I cast it then use all my stamina and let the power run out while sitting on a chair making me ragdoll because my stamina is in the negatives, while ragdolling I go ham on the scrollwheel which places the camera way above your head and lets you clip your camera into walls… I use that to access the Temple of the One door doing the skip.”

I’m so glad all this silly jank is still present in the remaster. Part of the reason Oblivion is such a beloved game for so many people is because of stuff like this, so it just wouldn’t feel right if exploits like this were no longer possible.

Here’s hoping The Elder Scrolls VI is full of just as much nonsense.
