We have officially arrived in 2024 which means it’s now true to say that Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release next year. Cue a hyped ooo.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves though. There are plenty of exciting releases in the 12 months ahead of us, from The Last of Us Part II Remastered to Star Wars Outlaws, or Rise of the Ronin to Tekken 8. There are gaps in the year’s release slate too so I should imagine more release announcements are on the way. One update I think we’re all eagerly anticipating is with regards to Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. It’s been almost a year since the expansion was announced but we’re yet to receive any further news. While I don’t have any to share today, I do have an Elden Ring related freebie to tide you over.

Ever wondered what an Elden Ring boss battle royale would look like? Wonder no more.

Granted, it’s not the most exciting freebie I’ve ever seen but it’s the start of a new year. We’re channeling our renewed inner sense of gratitude and positivity. Elden Ring publisher FromSoftware is sending out personalised New Year’s cards. All you need to do is sign up to the New Year Card Present Campaign 2024. As it’s after 1 January, the card will be sent to your email address immediately.

You can choose from two designs. One themed after Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon and the other after Elden Ring. The card essentially thanks you for your contribution to the publisher’s success. You don’t simply get the snazzy card though. You’ll also get a link allowing you to download your chosen Armored Core VI / Elden Ring design as a wallpaper to use.

If you’re located in Japan, this freebie is a tad more exciting. FromSoftware is running a lottery ticket giveaway if you opt to receive the New Year’s card. There are six prizes in total, including an Armored Core VI hoodie, t-shirt, and coffee mug, and an Elden Ring bag. Enter while you can - you have until 5 January.
