Diablo 4 free download available for you now as an early Christmas present

Gather around, Diablo IV fans. Developer Activision Blizzard has just dropped a Christmas gift in the form of a new download. You can currently grab free armour and two mount trophies - and we’ve got all the details on how.

Any other year and I think we would’ve seen Diablo IV featured in a few more year-end awards. As it is, 2023 has been full of so many bangers that I fear it was forgotten. If you flashback to when Diablo IV was released though, it was a colossal success. It made more money for Activision Blizzard in the space of one week than previous release Diablo Immortal did in an entire year. In fact, in just five days, it surpassed $666 million in sales - a number I’m sure Lilith would be very proud of. It’s Blizzard’s fastest selling game to date and despite a few dodgy updates, it seems to have retained a solid player base.

In order to grab these new freebies, you’ll need to have a copy of Diablo IV. Simply head to the shop and look for the ‘free gifts’ section. There, you’ll be able to grab the Dragoon’s Path mount armour and two mount trophies. These gifts are only available until 26 December, 10am PT so if you’re interested in redeeming them, I’d do so sooner rather than later. You know how easy it is to forget about these things.

Announcing the freebie, devs wrote, “Wanderer, your valiant deeds number many - their exploits reverberate through Sanctuary, overtaking the monstrous roar of the Burning Hell’s most heinous machinations. Sanctuary’s denizens feel safest when under your watch, and to thank you for protecting them, they’ve bequeathed a token of appreciation befitting a devout demon slayer to you - the Dragoon’s Path Mount Armour bundle.”
