It seems another actor who appeared in Death Stranding will now reprise their role in the sequel slated for 2025.

Death Stranding came out in 2019 and featured a star-studded cast. With actors like Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, and Margaret Qualley appearing in major roles, it was almost a true Hollywood experience from Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima.

Likewise, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is also shaping up to have an equally packed cast, with Reedus and Seydoux both returning. Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna are joining in new roles too.

Now, a new video posted online seemingly confirms the return of another Death Stranding actor to make an appearance in Kojima’s next game.

The celebrity in question is US talk show host Conan O’Brien, who appeared in Death Stranding as the Wandering MC.

In Conan’s latest episode of Clueless Gamer, a show in which he and co-host Aaron Bleyaert play video games together, the talk show host sat down to play Death Stranding: Director’s Cut.

After showing footage of his original trip to Kojima Productions in Japan where he was first scanned, the two start playing the game. After some frustration in not being able to find his digital counterpart, Conan calls Kojima up and asks for advice.

The pair eventually find the Wandering MC, but Conan is less than thrilled to see how he's portrayed in the game.

Towards the end of the video, Conan calls Kojima again and drops suggestions about how he’d like to be represented in the next game. He suggests playing a role more heroic and central to the story, with the possibility of the game getting more sequels as well as adaptations to the big screen.

In response, Kojima invites O’Brien to Kojima Productions’ new studio to be scanned again with the more advanced technology they have access to.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is slated for release on PS5 sometime in 2025. Alongside that, Kojima is also working on OD with Xbox Game Studios, as well as a live-action Death Stranding movie with A24.
