Cyberpunk 2077 publisher CD Projekt has decided to get into the Christmas spirit by giving away no less than five video games, which is pretty bloody sweet.

If you're not familiar with GOG, it's the digital video game storefront owned and operated by CD Projekt. There are also, as it happens, mountains of free games to be found on GOG - and some serious bangers, at that.

Take a look at just how gorgeous Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is below!

Over the last few days there have been a handful of amazing games added to GOG's winter sale as free downloads. We've had Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Master, Lost Ruins, Caveblazers, and Lacuna. Unfortunately these giveaways are extremely limited-time deals, and the first three offerings have already expired. If you want Lacuna, you have until 2pm today (29 December, so be quick).

As we understand it there's one more free game to be announced at some point today, so you'll want to keep an eye on GOG for that. We will also be sure to update you as soon as we know what it is, of course. Wouldn't it be neat if it was Cyberpunk 2077? It won't be, obviously, but we can dream.

It's been a heck of a year for CD Projekt all-round, really. Fans have been blown away by how incredible Cyberpunk 2077 has become, with many agreeing that, if the game had been released in 2023, it would have definitely won GOTY. It would be easy to pin all this on things like the inclusion of the new ‘Judy butt’ scene, but we all know it's just because the game is finally living up to its potential. That means we can finally look ahead to the sequel, but even as we keep our expectations in check I can't help but feel a pang of excitement for what's coming next.
