Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t a game about committing crimes, if anything it’s about preventing them you just have to get your hands dirty to do it.
While you can absolutely subject Night City to the worst killing-spree ever recorded in a video game there’s really no need to as you get nothing for it. You don’t even get an exhilarating police chase like you would in a Grand Theft Auto game.
One of the only forgivable crimes is stealing cars as you can’t cruise through the streets without a nice pair of wheels, and early into the game your choice of rides is pretty abysmal.
Don’t get too excited though as stopping you in your tracks is the Anti-Theft Measures mod, which adds a variety of in-game tools to make stealing someone’s wagon a bit more tricky.

Examples include a range of security systems such as “deflating tires, NCPD notification and even lethal countermeasures.”
Not sure what the latter is implying but I’m expecting the car will simply blow up once you get it around the block, or maybe it’ll kick you out at full-speed, only one way to find out.

It’s a clever addition to the game and any police chases you do get into will feel a lot more tense, as stealing a car will instantly alert them and probably worsen your chances of survival.
The Grand Theft Auto link here is supposedly a feature in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Stealing cars in the Rockstar Games series is simple, which is what you’d expect considering the act is literally the name of the game.
In GTA VI though leaks and rumours suggest some cars will be harder to break into than others.
This could take the form of unbreakable windows so you can’t smash your way in, or perhaps it’ll just take slightly longer to pick a lock when trying to open a car door.
Personally I welcome this change as like the Cyberpunk 2077 mod it’ll make getting away from the police a lot more engaging.
Rather than simply forcing your way into a vehicle and speeding off before they’re none the wiser you could get caught before you even get the door open, forcing you to ditch the plan and go for a different car instead.
Hopefully the feature is more than just a rumour, as gameplay additions like that are exactly what GTA VI needs to stand out from previous entries.
