With Cyberpunk 2077 now being regarded as one of the best RPGs of all time, it is no surprise that many of us are waiting for any excuse to return to the streets of Night City.

Released back in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 is rapidly approaching its five-year anniversary but despite many updates, patches and even its Phantom Liberty DLC under its belt, its most dedicated fans are eager for more.

CD Projekt RED may be working behind the scenes on its sequel, currently titled Cyberpunk 2, but with the next entry not expected to launch for a few years yet, the streets of Night City are calling to us.

We do not yet know if another official update or patch is on the cards for Cyberpunk 2077 courtesy of CD Projekt RED and its recent collaborations with Virtuos but in the meantime, one creator has found a way to fill the void when it comes to content.

Card Collection - Treasure Hunt is a brand-new mod for Cyberpunk 2077 which will see players take to Night City on a thrilling, well, treasure hunt.

Created by Namoriz, players will be able to hunt around the open-world map and recover 100 cards hidden in various locations.

Much like the tarot card collection that is already in-game, this free download introduces cards all inspired by the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, each featuring their very own image and description.

Luckily, they are easy to spot with players able to use their in-built scanner which will see them light up yellow.

Once spotted, you will be able to just walk up to them and they will instantly spawn in your inventory but as permanent assets, they will also stay in the world so do not be confused if they do not despawn.

However, they will be found in the ‘junk’ category so be careful when you next empty your pockets as they can also be dismantled or sold.

An example of a card can be found on the official mod page with one titled ‘Card 067 - Afterlife.’

Its description reads: “There is only one path in Night City worth walking: the one that leads to the Afterlife.”

So what is the point?

Earn rewards

Well, other than appealing to the completionists amongst us, collecting 25/50/75/100 of the cards will automatically reward you with Eddies.

Additionally, the mod creator is offering a reward of their own.

“Special reward for anyone willing to show me that they have completed their collection!” The description reads.

“If you share a screenshot of the overlay completed, you can ask to receive PNG files of all the cards to add to your photo folder and use in SmartFrames!”

So if you want another incentive to return to the streets of Night City, make sure to check out this free Cyberpunk 2077 download now.
