The now nine-time award-winning Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is back with brand-new content to say a big thank you to its fans.
Last night saw Geoff Keighley return with The Game Awards 2025 and alongside many incredible game releases, incredible music, and more, it was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 that swept away the awards, winning nine in total including the coveted Game of the Year.
Throughout the three-hour show, the award-winning RPG by French studio Sandfall Interactive walked away with nine total awards including: Best RPG, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score & Music, Best Game Direction, Best Debut Indie Game, Best Independent Game, Best Performance for Jennifer English and, of course, Game of the Year.
Not only did Clair Obscur: Expedition garner the most nominations in The Game Awards history but it has now received the most awards which is a pretty incredible achievement for an indie game with a budget less than $10 million.

As you can see, a new playable environment and boss battles are the in-game content we have been craving whilst a Photo Mode will mark an incredible feature as there is no denying that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 features stunning environments and equally stunning characters.

The update is now live across all platforms and costs absolutely nothing to download.
If you are still unsure if Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is for you, our very own Dan Lipscombe called it “a beautifully painted, emotional RPG bursting with new ideas” in his review.
“It whisks the player away into a truly impactful world, with a powerful and emotional story bubbling away, enhanced by some stellar acting.
“There were moments I was brought to spilling a couple of tears, alongside some that had me laughing riotously. The battles, which can so often feel stagnant in a bustling genre, are refreshing, tactical, and delightful.
“This is a wonderfully imaginative game, bursting with identity, and it has a lot to say about important topics.”
