The last month has seen nothing but non-stop exciting announcements, news, and other good stuff for Star Wars fans. From Star Wars: Andor’s first trailer, the confirmation of The Mandalorian’s fourth season, to, of course, the final episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi, which just became available to watch on Disney+ today (no spoilers, please), it’s a great time to be a fan of the franchise.

It also turns out that there could be even more on the cards than we were already aware of. As reported by The Direct, Star Wars insider Kristian Harloff took to YouTube yesterday to reveal that the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order protagonist, Cal Kestis, might be getting his own live-action Disney+ show.

Before we get into it, be sure to take a look at the new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

“Have to say that, rumour rumour, not confirmed. But, got this from somebody that I’ve trusted in the past, heard things in the past, tells me this is a thing,” Harloff said. “The rumour itself, at the moment, ladies and gentlemen. The popular character of Cal Kestis, who you know was played by Cameron Monaghan […], rumour is that there’s a Cal Kestis show in the works for Disney Plus.

“The rumour is that [Cameron Monaghan] actually signed on to play the character from Jedi: Fallen Order in a live-action series for Disney+,” he continued. “There’s no production dates set, but my source tells me that this is happening.”

Now, the timing of this would actually make quite a lot of sense. We of course have a sequel to Fallen Order on the way, in the form of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - we got our first trailer for it at the end of last month, along with a 2023 release window.

Not only that, but fans have figured out that Survivor will take place 10 years after the events of Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, placing it in the same timeframe as Obi-Wan Kenobi. There’s a tie-in to be had, there, and perhaps Cal Kestis’ own show could explore that.

For now, do take all this with a pinch of salt, but there’s no doubt that fans would love to see this happen.
